Description
Hossa National Park is located in the northern part of the municipality of Suomussalmi, west of the village of Hossa and the national park. Hossa's nature is varied and varied. There are many small lakes, quays, short rivers and creeks. In all, there are around 130 lakes and ponds, separated by several ridges. There is a wide range of hiking trails for a total of about 90 kilometers. Trails run around the riverside and lakeside shores. The paths form a number of loops separated by different colored paint marks in the trees. Near the Visitor Center there is a 3 km long nature trail that presents Hossa's nature, history and culture. Hossa has 4 mountain biking trails. Three of the paths are unobstructed routes that can be run by a wheelchair. The UKK hiking trail also runs along the Eastern Straits hiking trail through Hossa and further to Kylmäluoma.
